As per reports, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) detected 13 People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft, 10 People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) vessels, and three official Chinese ships operating around Taiwan between 0600 hours (local time) on Tuesday (30 June) and 0600 hours (local time) on Wednesday (01 July).
• Nine of the 13 aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line and entered Taiwan’s northern, southwestern, and eastern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).
• In response, Taiwan deployed aircraft, naval vessels, and coastal-based missile systems to monitor the PLA activity, with the armed forces stating that they had monitored the situation and responded.
