As per reports, the Jongno Police Station in Seoul received information at 1523 hours (local time) on Thursday (10 September) that a suitcase suspected to contain an explosive has been found inside Gwanghwamun Post Office.
• Reports indicate that a person from outside and not a post office employee had entered the building’s second floor and left the suitcase.
• The police special operations unit that responded is checking whether it is an explosive by conducting an X-ray inspection of the suitcase at the scene.
• Police detection dogs were also deployed in the search and no unusual response has been reported.
