As per reports, Maharashtra reported 91 cases of the KP.2 variant on Sunday (12 May), indicating a growing presence of this variant across the country. Notably, Pune and Thane have reported 51 and 20 cases, respectively, with other regions also affected. Cases of the KP.2 variant have also been recorded in Amravati, Aurangabad, Solapur, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Latur, and Sangli. As of now, Navi Mumbai has not reported any cases.
