Strike reported at Benapole Port on Monday (11 May)

As per reports, Benapole Port employees went on a two hour strike for the second day on Monday (11 May) demanding the reinstatement of overtime allowance.

• Import and export activities with India and the unloading of goods from the port were temporarily halted due to the strike from 1700 to 1900 hours (local time).
• Earlier, the organization’s employees had observed a two-hour strike on Sunday (10 May). During this time, about 150 port employees participated in a human chain organized in front of the cargo vehicle terminal of Benapole Port.
