As per reports, around 1,400 workers affiliated with the General, Municipal, Boilermakers and Allied Trade Union (GMB) and employed at an Amazon warehouse in Coventry, central England, went on strike on Tuesday (19 March) as part of a long-running dispute over pay and union recognition.
• Reports indicate that the strike action will be continued on Wednesday (20 March). It will be held from 0630 hours to 0830 hours (local time) and again between 1730 hours and 1930 hours (local time).
• Additionally, a strike action has been planned by the workers at Amazon’s new flagship fulfillment center in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham on Wednesday (27 March) and Thursday (28 March).
