As per reports, an assailant seriously injured a Spanish tourist in a stabbing incident at Berlin Holocaust Memorial on Friday (21 February) at approximately 1800 hours (local time), according to police. A man who reportedly appeared to be in his late 20s turned himself in to police a few hours after the attack and is now under arrest.
• Police spokesperson Florian Nath said the victim was being prepared for surgery but his life was not in danger.
• The memorial, close to the Brandenburg Gate, has been cordoned off while searches take place.
