As per reports, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the City of Calgary from Wednesday (20 March) till Thursday (21 March), amid forecast of heavy snowfall in the area.
• Environment Canada predicts cooler temperatures and snowfall of between 15 to 25 cm in parts of southern Alberta, including in Calgary, as a cold front passes through the province. Higher amounts of snowfall are expected over the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains.
• Snowfall is expected to begin on Tuesday (19 March) evening over west-central Alberta and spread southeast on Wednesday (20 March) and Thursday (21 March). The bulk of snowfall in Calgary is expected on Wednesday (20 March) and Thursday (21 March), while the cold air is expected to persist through the weekend.
