As per reports, a man got trapped under the rubble at a hotel construction site in Kutchan Town, Hokkaido, at around 1110 hours (local time) on Friday (10 April).

• According to the Kutchan Police Station of the Hokkaido Prefectural Police, a male worker was trapped under the rubble and was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was taken. The police station is investigating the detailed cause of the accident.
• According to the police, the soil on the side collapsed while they were digging a hole for the foundation work. No other workers were injured.
