As per reports, Smiths Falls, Perth, and Carleton Place are under a snowfall warning and a special weather statement as snow and freezing rain are forecast to impact parts of eastern Ontario starting Friday (28 March). Snowfall accumulations of ten to 20 centimetres are expected from Friday (28 March) night into Saturday (29 March) morning .

Environment Canada has issued a warning that visibility may be suddenly reduced at times during heavy snowfall. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
