As per reports, a shooting incident was reported at a laundromat on Utica Avenue in Brooklyn, New York City on Monday (25 May), following an armed attack targeting an individual inside the facility.
• The incident occurred at approximately 0800 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) on Utica Avenue near Avenue J in Flatlands.
• Authorities stated that a male victim was shot while inside the premises with his wife. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
• A 68-year-old bystander was also shot accidently in the foot in the process.
• Law enforcement personnel secured the area and initiated an active investigation following the incident.
• Police indicated that the suspect fled the location after the shooting, and search operations remained ongoing during the initial response phase.
