As per reports, a police officer from the State Guard and three alleged criminals were killed in a shooting in the Las Águilas neighborhood of Matamoros, Tamaulipas on Sunday (23 June).

• The State Guard responded to support the National Guard against an attack by suspected members of organized crime.
• The confrontation began when State Guard officers encountered armed individuals in a closed gray truck, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
