As per reports, major rail services operating between London Euston and Watford Junction in London were severely disrupted on Friday (06 February), following an overhead line fault affecting the West Coast Main Line.
• The incident was identified during the early morning peak, with disruption ongoing as of 0815 hours local time (0815 hours UTC).
• Services operated by Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway (LNR), and associated commuter routes experienced suspensions, significant delays, and cancellations.
• Network Rail engineers were deployed to assess and repair damage to the overhead electric infrastructure, resulting in prolonged service instability across one of London’s busiest rail corridors.
