As per reports, political protest activity is expected to continue in Tirana on Monday (24 August), following a demonstration held on Sunday (23 August) calling for the resignation of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and the formation of a transitional government.

• Reportedly, protesters gathered at Skanderbeg Square in central Tirana on Sunday (23 August) before marching along Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard towards the Prime Minister’s Office.
• Organisers described the gathering as the 85th consecutive day of civic protest activity and stated that demonstrations are expected to continue on Monday (24 August).
