As per reports, a gas leak has prompted complete preventative shutdown of the Petrobras-operated P-40 offshore platform in the Marlim Sul field, Campos Basin, off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Thursday (19 December).
Following the identification of leak, all lines were depressurized and production was suspended.
• The company has notified regulators and announced the formation of a special commission to investigate the cause of the leak.
• Additionally, it has been confirmed that production on other Campos Basin platforms remains unaffected.
