As per reports, the Councilor for Civil Protection, Marco Granelli, reported on the heavy rainfall in Milan and in the northern regions on Thursday (22 May).

• 45-50 mm of water accumulation has been reported in Milan, in the northern zone, between Rho and Monza, about 60 to 70 mm of rainfal.
• 2.70 cm water accumulation has been reported on Via Feltre, Milan.
• Authorities have evacuated the communities from Parco Lambro as of Thursday (22 May) morning).
• In the Ponte Lambro neighborhood, the water reportedly spilled from the road pipes of Via Vittorini due to increase of sewage levels and for the regeneration of the Lambro River.
• Authorities have laid movable barriers along Via Vittorini to divert the water into the park, protecting the widening district. Additionally, there has been flood between Via Vittorio Veneto and Via Lazzaretto.
• The underpasses are all functional due to the reinforcement of the tubs and pumps.
• Tram 9 towards Porta Garibaldi was diverted and skipped stops from Centrale to Porta Venezia; tram 19 towards Lambrate was diverted and skipped stops from Turati and Piazza Ascoli.
• In the nearby regions of Milan, as of evening hours, flooding has been reported on streets and lower floors of houses due to water overflowing from agricultural land in Cossirano. Firefighters are reportedly at work for rescue and recovery operations.
