As per reports, a major fire incident was reported at Oulton Broad North Railway Station in the early hours of Thursday (09 April), with emergency services responding from approximately 0000 hours local time (2300 hours UTC on 08 April) onwards.
• The fire originated in the roof of a commercial structure (restaurant) located on the station platform. Fire crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, deployed multiple units, including aerial platforms, to contain the blaze. Police and ambulance services are also present at the scene.
• Authorities have confirmed that all railway activity through the station has been suspended due to the incident. Firefighting operations are ongoing for several hours, with crews continuing suppression efforts as of early morning.
• The incident is concentrated at Oulton Broad North Railway Station, Lowestoft area and surrounding railway corridor in Suffolk.
