As per reports, the Kelowna Fire Department responded to a fire incident at an apartment building in Rutland. The blaze at 880 Badke Road was initially reported at approximately 1345 hours (local time) on Monday (22 July).
• Six fire engines and a command truck were dispatched to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 1500 hours (local time), and smoke is no longer emanating from the building.
• The owner of the apartment unit that burned in Rutland on Monday (22 July) reported that three cats perished in the fire.
