As per reports, a fire reportedly occurred on Monday (06 October) night at Dow Chemical’s Freeport facility, located on Brazosport Boulevard near the Nolan Ryan Expressway in Brazoria County, Texas.

• The fire reportedly started in Plant B within the industrial complex, one of Dow’s largest integrated sites in the United States, spanning approximately 7,000 acres.
• The plant is responsible for nearly half of Dow’s US production output and about 20 percent of its global product volume, making it a critical hub in the company’s operations.
• According to Dow Texas Operations, the blaze was contained within the facility block, and all employees were accounted for, with no injuries reported so far.
• The Freeport Police Department and local emergency response teams are on site, actively monitoring the situation.
• As of the latest update, no shelter-in-place orders have been issued, and authorities have stated that no immediate action is required from the surrounding community.
