As per reports, Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on Thursday (15 August) arrived in Manila for a state visit and bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. President Shanmugaratnam. He arrived at Malacanang Presidential Palace with his wife, First Lady Jane Yumiko Ittogi Shanmugaratnam, after attending a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument in Rizal Park, Manila.

Over the course of his three-day visit till Saturday (17 August), President Shanmugaratnam is scheduled to visit the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity and the International Rice Research Institute, both in the Laguna Province Southeast of Manila, followed by meetings with business leaders across various sectors, attend the Singapore Red Cross’ 75th-anniversary exhibition, and interact with the Singaporean community at a National Day reception.
