Significant power cuts announced in South Africa on Tuesday (02 January)

As per reports, a load-shedding schedule has been announced by the state-owned power company Eskom starting from Tuesday (02 January) due to the malfunction of the generating units.

The stage two load shedding will remain effective from 0500 hours (local time) to 1600 hours (local time), followed by the stage three load shedding until 0500 hours of the next day. This schedule is in effect daily until further notice.
