As per reports, at approximately 2200 hours (local time) on Friday (21 November), the Chicago Police Department responded to a reported shooting near State and Randolph streets in downtown Chicago. At least five individuals were shot, including one critically injured. Multiple officers were reportedly attacked with mace and stun guns, with at least one officer hospitalized.
The police have not confirmed the number of victims or details of the incident. Approximately 300 juveniles were allegedly rioting in the Loop, though police have not verified this. Investigations are ongoing, and further information is awaited.
