As per reports, a fatal shooting has been reported inside a high-rise apartment building on Whitehorse Road, Box Hill, Melbourne, at approximately 0150 hours (local time) on Thursday (09 April).

• A man, approximately 20 years of age, has been found dead on the 11th floor of the building following a suspected shooting incident.
• Victoria Police confirmed the victim died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified. Homicide Squad detectives have established a crime scene and are currently investigating the circumstances of the death.
• While residents were initially moved onto Whitehorse Road for several hours, they have since been permitted to return to the building.
