As per reports, former Central Java Governor and presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo, and vice-presidential candidate Mahfud MD held a grand campaign event at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium in Central Jakarta on Saturday (03 February). The event featured a concert, and was attended by approximately 134,000 volunteers from across 27 cities and districts in West Java, and eight cities and districts in Banten.

As of 1815 hours (local time), severe traffic congestion was reported at, along Jalan Sudirman Road, from Cawang towards GBK Stadium, with gridlocks at the GBK Stadium and Four Seasons Hotel. Traffic police officials stated that the traffic congestion occurred because several of the 1,950 buses and 500 three-wheeled taxis ferrying people to the campaign event were parked along main roads as there was inadequate space at the stadium; traffic police are currently in the process of regulating traffic flow and addressing the gridlock.
