Severe thunderstorm and tornado alerts issued across Manitoba on Thursday (21 August)

As per reports, Environment Canada issued alerts on Thursday (21 August) warning of severe thunderstorms developing across southern Manitoba including Brandon, Grand Rapids, Berens River, and Bloodvein, during the morning hours, with risks of strong winds, hail, and heavy rainfall.

Additionally, on Thursday (21 August), a tornado watch is issued for several communities in southeast and east-central Manitoba, including Winnipeg, Steinbach, Portage la Prairie, Winkler, Morden, Brandon, Dauphin, Minnedosa, Selkirk, Gimli, Beausejour, and the Interlake region.
