The Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, has issued severe thunderstorm warning with damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in Central Tablelands Forecast districts, New South Wales over the next several hours on Thursday (04 January). Locations which may be affected include Bathurst, Katoomba, Bilpin, Oberon, Blayney and Trunkey Creek.

Severe heatwave warning has been issued for parts of Queensland including Peninsula, Gulf Country, North Tropical coast and Tablelands, Herbert and Lower Burdekin and Channel Country districts, Aurukun, Birdsville, Bedourie, Mapoon and Weipa from Thursday (04 January) till Saturday (06 January).
