As per reports, a powerful solar storm (the strongest in the last 20 years) has impacted Earth’s magnetic field, affecting satellite operations, communications systems, and power grids in several regions.
The US Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) confirmed disruptions to satellite communications and temporary instability in power transmission networks, primarily affecting high-latitude regions including Canada, Alaska, Northern Europe, Scandinavia, and parts of Russia. Mid-latitude areas, such as the northern United States and Central Europe, may also experience intermittent GPS and radio signal interference.
• NASA postponed the planned New Glenn rocket launch in Florida, citing risks from elevated solar radiation levels to onboard spacecraft systems.
