As per reports, there have been multiple deaths from the flooding caused by torrential rain in central Texas on Friday (04 July). 13 casualties have been confirmed, although authorities suggested that there may be more.

Widespread rainfall of four to eight inches, with some reports of up to 15 inches, has fallen in south-central Texas since late Thursday (03 July) evening, prompting multiple flash flood emergencies,

• At least 14 helicopters and 12 drones and over 500 people from various units are rescuing adults and children out of trees.
• There are currently about 20 children unaccounted for at Camp Mystic, which hosts about 750 kids overall.
• The flash flood emergency that covers a significant portion of Kerr County has been extended 1700 hours (local time) according to the National Weather Service.
• More heavy rain is possible into the evening as slow-moving storms stall over the same hard-hit areas.
