As per reports, at least eight dilapidated shops on the Kalupur railway overbridge in Ahmedabad collapsed on Wednesday (08 October) evening; a major accident was averted as the debris narrowly missed vehicles plying on the bridge. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Two fire tenders and police are deployed on site, and police personnel have cordoned off the affected stretch. Clearance operations are underway.
