As per reports, services have been canceled after an incident was reported near Middlewood Railway Station in Stockport, Greater Manchester on Thursday (25 January). The incident was reported at about 0920 hours (local time) and one person was reported dead.

The train services between from Hazel Grove to Buxton have been cancelled. Northern services remain affected on the route from Manchester Piccadilly to Buxton.
