According to reports, the police have doubled their staff strength and increased patrols at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) after the shooting on 14 April that left a bodyguard severely injured. This includes deployment of full-gear General Operations Force (PGA) policemen who are on patrol at entry points and outside the airport buildings at both terminals.
Additionally, in the near future, the use of e-scooters for patrols will also be introduced at the airports for faster response time and more ground coverage.
