Security forces foil infiltration attempt in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday (11 August)

As per reports, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel shot and injured a Pakistani intruder who tried to cross the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Monday (11 August).

The BSF intercepted a group of Pakistani persons attempting to cross the border between the Chandwan and Kothey border outposts in the Hiranagar sector at around 1600 hours (local time). After the intruders ignored warnings, the BSF opened fire, injuring one; the remaining persons fled. The injured person has been shifted to a hospital, and the BSF is investigating the incident.
