Section 144 imposed in Srinagar from Saturday (11 May) to Monday (13 May)

As per notifications issued by the District Magistrate (Deputy Commissioner) Srinagar, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC have been imposed throughout the district of Srinagar from 1800 hours on Saturday (11 May) until 1800 hours on Monday (13 May) in view of polling scheduled in the 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency and to denote the end of the campaigning period.

Additionally, the district administration has also declared the polling day- Monday (13 May) and Day of Counting (04 June) as Dry Days while all designated Polling Stations in respect of eight (08) Assembly Segments viz; 19-Hazratbal, 20-Khanyar, 21-Habbakadal, 22-Lalchowk, 23-Channapora, 24-Zadibal, 25-Eidgah, 26-Central Shalteng of District Srinagar have been declared as “No-Smoking Zones”.
