As per the reports, Repubblika, a Maltese rule-of-law and civil society organisation, is scheduled to hold a march in Valletta on Friday (16 October) to demand justice, truth and accountability on the ninth anniversary of the assassination of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
• The march is scheduled to begin in front of the Parliament building and proceed towards Great Siege Square, opposite the law courts.
• The NGO has accused the government of failing to implement proposed anti-mafia legislation introduced several years ago. It has also challenged the prime minister’s argument that such legislation could damage Malta’s international reputation and discourage investment.
