As per reports, Palamaner police arrested the sarpanch (village administrator) of Gollapalle panchayat (village council), Bangarupalem mandal, located on the outskirts of Palamaner town, for illegally transporting liquor bottles manufactured in Karnataka worth INR two lakh on Tuesday night (27 February). The police also confiscated the car used by the sarpanch to transport the illicit liquor.
