As per reports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) of Romania has issued a travel warning for Romanian citizens in, transiting through, or planning to visit Spain’s Canary Islands due to adverse weather conditions in effect until Friday (07 March).

• The Canary Islands government has declared a state of alert for the east, south, and west of Gran Canaria due to severe weather risks.
• Romanian citizens in need of consular assistance can contact the Consulate General of Romania in Madrid at the provided phone numbers, with calls being redirected to the Contact and Support Center for Romanian Citizens Abroad (CCSCRS), available 24/7.
• For emergencies, travelers can also use the dedicated hotline of the Consulate General of Romania in Madrid at +34 669.362.202.
