As per reports, road closures have begun in Kyle, Austin, TX, for the extensive operation to remove and relocate the historic live oak tree, named “Jolene”, from Old Stagecoach Road on Tuesday (18 November). The overall work, including the preparation, removal, and aftercare of the tree, is expected to last into January 2026.
• As per the current closures, Old Stagecoach Road is closed from Cypress Forest Drive to Three Forks Drive from 03 November to 16 January 2026.
• An expanded closure is expected from 02 December to 10 December, affecting Old Stagecoach Road from Cypress Forest Drive to Six Creeks Boulevard.
