Road closures implemented in parts of Kuching till Saturday (16 August)

As per reports, the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) has announced that several roads will remain temporarily closed in parts of Kuching from evening hours on Tuesday (12 August) until Saturday (16 August) due to the Kuching Street Parade 2025.

• On Wednesday and Thursday (13-14 August), the Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Jalan Main Bazaar, Jalan Wayang, Jalan Temple, and Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman will be closed from 1800 hours (local time) until completion.
• The DBKU further stated that on the day of the parade, road closures will begin at 1600 hours (local time) and remain in effect until the parade concludes.
• The affected areas on Saturday (16 August) include Sri Aman Roundabout/ Exit route from Padungan Road, Sri Aman Roundabout from Ban Hock Road, North Abell Street, traffic lights on Abell Street / Petanak Street, Padungan River Road, Traffic lights on Padungan Street, Chan Chin Ann Street from Tunku Abdul Rahman Street, Song Thian Cheok Street, Traffic lights Bukit Mata Street, Borneo road, main Bazaar Street at the traffic light of Jalan Lebuh Wayang / Jalan Main Bazaar, St. Mary’s SK traffic lights, Temple Street / Cinema Street / Vision Street, Tun Abang Haji Openg Street from Main Bazaar Street / Tun Abang Hajj Openg Street, McDougall Ave, and the Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg from Jalan Satok at the traffic light of Radio Television Malaysia (RTM).
