As per reports, various demonstrations and construction/road maintenance projects are expected to result in road closures across Mexico City on Tuesday (02 January).
• Pro-Palestine protest by Morras Futboleras collective members is scheduled at 1300 hours (local time) at Avenida Plaza de la Constitución. The protest aims to demand an end to the war and commemorate the 30 years of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) uprising.
• Merchants from the Jamaica Market will hold a demonstration protesting restrictions on their work as tenants. Blockades are expected starting at 1400 hours (local time) at Francisco del Paso and Troncoso.
• Residents of Colonia Tecacahuatl will hold a demonstration demanding authorities for a reliable supply of drinking water. Residents are expected to gather around 1800 hours (local time) at Avenida Guadalupe I. Ramírez.
• Partial closures to continue on Constituciónntes Avenue, from Sóstenes Rocha to Sur 128 due to the construction works of Line 3 of the Cablebús. Alternative routes recommended are Paseo de, la Reforma Avenue, Torres Avenue, Río de Tacubaya Avenue, and Peripheral Ring.
• Partial closures to continue on Avenida Arcos de Belén from Doctor Andrade to Balderas due to the maintainenece works on the second section of Line 1 of the CDMX Metro, Lázaro Cárdenas Central Axis. Recommended alternate routes are Hidalgo Avenue, Juarez Avenue, Claudio Bernard, Axis 1 West, Doctor Río de la Loza.
• Road closures are in effect due to the maintenance works carried out on Eje 3 Oriente heading north at Interior Circuit, in the Granjas San Antonio neighborhood. Alternative routes suggested are Axis 5 South, Axis 6 South, Andrés Molina Enríquez Avenue, Beam Causeway, Hermitage – Iztapalapa, and Avenida Año de Juárez.
