As per reports, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has announced that contract crews will install a 24-inch sewer line along Commerce Park Road, starting on Wednesday (26 February).
• The closure will commence at 0800 on Wednesday (26 February) and is expected to last for four weeks.
• Access to businesses will be maintained, while other traffic will be detoured via Brawley School Road to U.S. 21 South to return to Commerce Park Road.
• The closure is part of a USD 34.8 million project to widen over a mile of Brawley School Road between I-77 and US-21.
• The project also includes improvements along US-21, specifically between Dry Dock Loop/Vandalia Road and Abberly Green Boulevard. These upgrades are expected to enhance traffic capacity and reduce congestion in the long term.
