As per reports, a section of Old Church Street in Petersburg, Virginia, will be temporarily closed for water infrastructure work. The closure is scheduled to take place until Friday (16 May).
• The closure will affect Old Church Street between Taylor Street and East Washington Street, as confirmed by the City of Petersburg. This measure is being undertaken to facilitate the installation of a new water main, part of the ongoing Poor Creek infrastructure improvement project.
• Motorists and pedestrians are advised that this segment of the roadway will be inaccessible for through traffic for the duration of the work. Local detours and traffic redirection are expected to be implemented in the vicinity.
