As per reports, a police incident has resulted in the closure of Wade Lane northbound in Leeds city centre, between Merrion Street and St Albans Place, at approximately 0800 hours local time (0700 hours UTC) of Tuesday (30 June).
• West Yorkshire Police are responding to the incident, although the nature of the police operation has not been officially disclosed.
• As a result of the road closure, several bus services travelling through Leeds city centre have experienced disruption, and motorists have been advised to avoid the affected area where possible.
• Separately, a significant traffic incident has occurred on the M62 eastbound between Junction 25 (Brighouse) and Junction 26 (M606), where a vehicle overturned following a collision.
• West Yorkshire Police are also attending this incident, and the affected section of the motorway has been closed while emergency response and recovery operations continue.
• Authorities have reported approximately 31 minutes of delays and around four miles (6.4 kilometres) of congestion approaching the closure, with further delays possible until the roadway is cleared and reopened.
• Both incidents are reportedly affecting road users across Leeds and the surrounding transport network.
