As per reports, the workers and supporters of Bangladesh National Party (BNP) protested by burning tires and blocking the road in the Faridganj municipal bus stand area, demanding the nomination of Faridganj Upazila (sub-district) convenor MA Hannan.
The protestors blocked the Chandpur – Lakshmipur Road disrupting the movement of vehicles on the Faridganj – Lakshmipur Road.
• Additionally, 15 unions of Faridganj Upazila had gathered in the bus stand areas in separate processions stating that they will remain on the road till the nomination is changed.
• Moreover, they have warned of a “tough movement” of MA Hannan is not nominated within 72 hours.
