As per reports, rising water levels in the Ganges River have crossed the danger mark across Bhojpur district in Bihar, causing localized inundation and traffic disruptions across low-lying riverine blocks. In response, District authorities have issued precautionary administrative orders closing affected schools across Koilwar, Barhara, and Shahpur blocks from Monday (24 August) through Saturday (29 August).

Several villages in these blocks have experienced temporary loss of direct road connectivity to the district headquarters (Ara) due to waterlogged access roads. Local administration officials have been placed on high alert, with staff leave cancelled and public advisories issued urging residents in low-lying riverside hamlets to move to elevated ground.
