Restrictions imposed on Tehran-North Expressway on Friday (18 September) and Saturday (19 September)

As per reports, Iran’s Traffic Police has imposed time‑bound traffic restrictions on the Tehran-North Expressway, Chalus, Haraz and Fasham axes to manage end‑of‑summer holiday return flows on Friday (18 September) and Saturday (19 September).

• From 1400 hours local time (1030 hours UTC), south‑to‑north vehicle traffic is prohibited on the Tehran-North Expressway toward Chalus.
• From 1500 hours local time (1130 hours UTC), the segment from Zangouleh Bridge (north portal of Alborz Tunnel) to Chalus is planned to be fully closed.
• From 1600 hours local time (1230 hours UTC), the Marzanabad-Tehran direction (north‑to‑south) is planned to operate as one‑way lane.
• All trucks and vans are prohibited from using Haraz Road. Conditional one-way traffic restrictions may be implemented based on traffic volume, as determined by on-site traffic police.
• Fasham axis is scheduled to operate in one‑way toward Fasham exit.
• On Saturday (19 September), on Chalus and Haraz, conditional one‑way will be applied if traffic volume increases, as determined by traffic police officers on site.
