As per reports, to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming period, the Indonesian government has implemented restrictions on goods transportation across both toll and non-toll roads. These restrictions apply to vehicles with three or more axles, those with attached or towed trailers, and trucks transporting excavation materials, mining products, and construction materials.
The restrictions are in effect from Monday (24 March) until 08 April.
• A number of toll roads that will implement restrictions on goods transportation are located in Lampung and South Sumatra, DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java and East Java.
• Meanwhile, non-toll roads that will implement restrictions on goods transportation are located in North Sumatra, Jambi and West Sumatra, Jambi – South Sumatra Lampung, DKI Jakarta – Banten, DKI Jakarta West Java – Cikampek – Pamukan Cirebon, West Java, West Java – Central Java: Cirebon Brebes, Central Java, Central Java – East Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali and Central Kalimantan.
• Vehicles transporting fuel/BBG, sending money, animals and animal feed, fertilizers, handling natural disasters, motorbikes homecoming and return for free, as well as basic goods can still operate and are excluded from these restrictions with a letter of cargo type of good.
