As per reports, residents of Delhi’s Budhela village staged a protest on Tuesday (03 September) against land acquisition for a 4,300-square meter residential protest in Budhela, in Delhi’s Vikaspuri area.
Residents have stated that the project is being constructed on land that served as a water body for Budhela residents, alleging that authorities are taking advantage of recent drought-like conditions that has caused the pond to dry up. They further stated their demand for Delhi authorities to preserve the pond and develop it as a publicly accessible green space for Budhela residents.
