As per reports, the Red Fort in Delhi will remain closed to the public from Wednesday (15 July) until Saturday (15 August) to facilitate preparations for the Independence Day celebrations.

• Authorities have intensified security arrangements, beautification works, repair activities, stage construction and other logistical preparations within the Red Fort complex.
• Stringent security measures are also being implemented in and around the monument to support the preparations and ensure the smooth conduct of the Independence Day ceremony.
• Public access to the Red Fort will remain restricted throughout this period. Additionally, the evening “Jai Hind” sound and light show has been suspended until the completion of the preparation phase.
