As per reports, the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) raised the alert level to red for slippery conditions due to heavy snowfall in the province of Luxembourg on Wednesday (17 January).
• The alert for slippery conditions is active in Luxembourg from 0600 hours on Wednesday (17 January) to 1200 hours local time Thursday (18 January).
• The red level in the province of Luxembourg only applies between 0600 hours to 1100 hours local time on Wednesday (17 January).
• After 1100 hours local time the alert level should return to orange, then yellow from 0000 hours local time.
