As per reports, the Ratepayers Association will join residents in a demonstration on 28 July at the Katutura Customer Care Centre, Windhoek.
• The protest aims to address grievances against third-party debt collector Red Force, billing discrepancies, and demands accountability from the City of Windhoek.
• Protesters demand the release of the ‘Deloitte Report,’ alleging systemic flaws in municipal billing, and oppose contract renewal for Red Force.
• The association has sought police intervention, accusing the City’s Department of Rates and Taxes of dishonesty in maintaining the billing system.
