As per reports, the Maryland State Highway Administration has scheduled phased weekend closures on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (MD-295) in Jessup, Maryland, from Friday (10 April); for bridge demolition and interchange reconstruction works.
• Southbound MD-295 is scheduled to close between MD-100 and MD-32 from 2200 hours local time (0200 hours UTC, 11 April) on Friday (10 April) until 0500 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) on Monday (13 April), with multiple ramp closures including connections from MD-100, Arundel Mills Boulevard, and MD-175.
• A second closure phase is scheduled for northbound MD-295 between MD-32 and MD-100 from 2200 hours local time (0200 hours UTC, 18 April) on 17 April until 0500 hours local time (0900 hours UTC) on 20 April, impacting ramps from MD-32 and MD-175.
• MD-175 mainline lanes on the new bridge are scheduled to remain open. The project is part of a larger interchange reconstruction scheduled for completion in Fall 2027.
